As a school we aim to provide a safe and enjoyable place for every pupil to learn, grow and flourish in their learning.
The first Christ Church Primary School opened its doors in 1847 at Mount Pleasant and in 1878 an infant school was built on an adjoining site. Since then, the school has changed beyond recognition and is now home to a large number of buildings and over 400 pupils.
Christ Church has an excellent reputation and is an extremely sought after primary school. The children are split into 7 year groups (Foundation to Yr 6) with 2 or 3 classes per year group. The school has a very strong teaching body, an extremely dedicated set of support staff including learning support assistants and administrative staff, a well-motivated and effective governing body and an exceptional Parent Teacher Association (Friends of Christ Church School – FOCCS).
We are extremely fortunate to benefit from extensive outdoor space including a woodland area, outdoor classroom, pond area and school garden, all of which are used regularly as part of our outdoor curriculum.
If you wish to see more of the school, please feel welcome to make an appointment with our administration team and see what we have to offer.
